I Created A Beautiful Etsy Treasury and New Jewellery Designs

Lately I have been using swarovski crystals for two of my designs. The two earrings below  were created with red faceted swarovski crystals, I think the earrings look absolutely  stunning. You can purchase these lovely earrings on my etsy website.

The final pair of earrings follows an autumnal theme, again I used light green faceted swarovski crystals to finish the look. These earrings have received a lot of positive attention from fellow jewellery designers and boyfriends looking for something special for their girlfriends

I've Been Designing Beautiful Beaded Bracelets and Earrings

I've been designing some lovely  beaded bracelets and earrings lately and I'm so pleased with them. One of my bracelets was featured in Vikki Hankins lifestyle magazine

I have to say it is one of favourite designs and I've received over 100 likes on a Facebook jewellery group page, so  I think I'm going the right way when it comes to creating  bracelets.

The bracelet below was created with turquoise swarovski crystals interwined with silver plated beads and turquoise  spacer beads. The bracelet will be featured in Making Jewellery Magazine.

My next design is a gold plated filigree stretch bracelet. This bracelet would be a an excellent fashion accessory to finish off  a look, such as an evening dress or a wedding outfit, it's looks so rich  and sophisticated.

The final bracelet  has attracted a lot of attention from brides. The gorgeous bracelet (below) was created with  beautiful cream pearl effect beads, surrounded with gold plated  bead caps and small gold plated beads. The bracelet would so elegant on the wrist  on the bride as she  walks down the aisle

Upcycle Jewellery - Why I Love Creating Unique Jewellery Designs

Upcycling Definition (Wikipedia): is the process of converting waste materials or useless products into new materials or products of better quality or for better environmental value.

Upcycling jewellery is a specialist area of jewellery design  as  you are ultilising waste, broken or unusual materials original used from a different sources to create beautiful jewellery designs. A  good upcycle jewellery designer can  and does create jewellery pieces which always looks better than the original starting material. It's a creative area that really challenges the  mind of the designer.

I personally love creating upcycle jewellery, for two reasons the first being  that I care about the environment,(yes our planet earth), and two,  we in the West tend to discard old clothing, broken jewellery with no thought to where it goes. Most of the time, these items  are placed in landfill where , they decay and rust, which leads to more pollution.

So what is the solution....... easy, recycle or upcycle !!

Below are some of my upcycle jewellery designs. The first is a dramatic necklace created with washing machine washer rings. I connected the rings to electric metallic blue beads and small oblong metal beads. I adore this necklace.

My second jewellery design is a bracelet created with plastic gold coloured button, which I purchased from my local market. I finished off the piece with a stunning gold plated toggle. I'm receiving a lot of lovely feedback from friends that, they love the bracelet.

My final design was also created with buttons and takes on a vintage look. I added gold swarovski crystals to finish the  earrings. I love them, they look beautiful.

Upcycling is the way forward for the jewellery industry, a  specialist upcycle jewellery maker will always be able to recreate a beautiful jewellery design from broken  jewellery. Unusual discarded materials can be used to create unique designs and our beautiful earth will see less landfill.

Etsy Treasuries and New Jewellery Designs by Euphena Beaded Jewellery

I have an Etsy shop where I sell my handmade jewellery, however I've never attempted to create a platform used by many etsy shop owners which is a treasury. Let me describe what it is.

Treasuries are  collages of  handmade items curated by etsy shop owners,  usually using a theme or colour palette. You're required to create the collage using the photos from members of  your Etsy Team (that is if you are part of a team) or individuals who have shop itenary which you love and admire.

I was reluctant to  create a treasury as I  thougt it was complicated....... until,my lovely work colleague Noami C Robinson of Nyha cards sat down with me and gave a few moments of her valuable time to create one . Well I was blown away,  I couldn't believe how easy it was  and that evening I created my first Treasury and loved it.
